A video explaining the history of the camp is synced with the lighting of the architectural model. Thus the development of the camp is shown simultaneously by both historic images and the model of the camp. Projection mapping provides insight into the historic interior of one of the barracks.
Four animated movies give an understanding of the day-to-day life of forced laborers during the time of National Socialism, illustrating their struggle to receive any compensation afterward being released and visualizing the paths taken by the displaced men, women, and children throughout Europe after the war.
Three interactive touchscreens give personal insight into the private photo albums of forced laborers and provide the visitor with the ability to interactively research historic footage through segmental image analysis.
For additional information, visitors can search forced labor databases throughout Germany inside of a specially developed map application. Visitors can also choose from a library of video interviews with contemporary witnesses.
