Sensescapes is an interactive 360° room installation at the Grassi Museum for Applied Arts in Leipzig.

Since the opening of the new permanent exhibition “From Art Nouveau to the Present Day”, museum visitors have been able to immerse themselves in graphic interpretations of the exhibited style epochs. Visitors bring the interpretations into being, create their sound, and modify them.

The installation’s complex media system consists of 8 projectors, 4 infrared cameras and 5 high-performance PCs that track the visitors in the room. The collected data are evaluated by VVVV and converted into generative image-sound-worlds.
