The Sensescapes are part of the permanent exhibition "From Art Nouveau to the Present Day", where museum visitors can immerse themselves in graphic interpretations of various stylistic epochs. They can interact with key elements from different design eras and influence the soundscapes of the room.
All content and scenes are generative. In one chapter, a machine learning algorithm generates endless new variations of the exhibited artworks, drawing from the museum's catalog.
Through their presence, visitors create new artworks, dissolving the distance between museum objects and the audience. They become an integral part of a unique masterpiece, embarking on an immersive, sensory-rich journey.
The installation’s complex media system consists of eight projectors, four infrared cameras, and five high-performance PCs that track visitors in the room. The collected data is processed by VVVV and transformed into generative audiovisual worlds.
